Do you want a flexible work schedule that fits with the other priorities in your life? Nurse Next Door is looking for Caregivers who are able to work 10 to 40 hours per week (no experience required)! We have flexible hours in the morning, afternoon, evenings, and overnights.

- $18.00 to $24.00 per hour (actual pay within this range will be determined based on experience, availability, certifications, shift type, and client needs, in accordance with New Jersey law)

- 24/7 assistance related to your client’s care
- Flex Schedules (Part-Time & Full-Time)
- Flexible scheduling: days, evenings, weekends, overnights, and live-in positions available.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversation
- Light housekeeping and meal preparation
- Assistance with errands and appointments as outlined in the care plan
- Medication reminders only (non-medical; no administration)
- Support clients with daily routines and personal care needs
- Promote client safety, comfort, and independence in the home
- Execute and follow the client’s individualized plan of care
- Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly
- Observe, report, and document changes in the client’s condition
- Function within the limits of your training, certification, experience, and job description
- Complete records and documentation accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner in accordance with agency policy and accreditation standards
Requirements:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current New Jersey Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification required
- Compassionate, reliable, and professional demeanor
- Ability to build positive relationships with seniors and families
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to follow care plans and agency policies and procedures
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and all other New jersey required checks
- Reliable transportation to client homes
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing as needed
Experience
- Previous experience as a CHHA, CNA, caregiver, or home health aide preferred
- Experience with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or family caregiving is a plus
